French Twist HairstyleThe Big Twist:
Give the classic French twist a modern edge by topping it off with curls or adding tons of volume. To go big, flip your head upside down, spray with a texturizing or volumizing product, and tease. Next, finger-comb the hair into a messy, high ponytail. Twist hair and pin it down toward the bottom slightly to the side.
To go curly, curl the front of your hair and ends into small sections. Pull the rest back, twist, and secure. Pile the curled hair on top and pin. Touch up the curls with a curling iron and spray with hairspray.

Angled Braids HairstyleAngled Braid: (MY FAVORITE)
The braid takes an unexpected direction with curves from from crown to shoulder, like at Behnaz Sarafpour's Spring 2011 show.

Start by applying a hair oil to soften the hair. Then start the braid at the hairline on either side of the head (if you have bangs, gel or spray them up and over toward the braid or leave flat). Criss-cross the braid across the back of the head and secure. Finish with hairspray.

Low Knot HairstyleLow Knot:
Say goodbye to the topknot and hello to elegant chignons at the nape of the neck or on the side and low ponytails secured with bows.

For the messy look apply a sea spray and pull the hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck or to the side and leave loose wisps free. Twist the ponytail to the left and tuck the end into a chignon, or set in place with booby pins.

Slick and Twisted HairstyleSlick and Twisted:
The sleek look is always chic and dramatic, and can be super easy.

To go sleek: Apply a serum to damp hair for the wet look, create a side part, and pull hair back into a ponytail. Separate the ponytail into two sections, twist together, and secure at the bottom.

To go smooth, apply a smoothing product and blow-dry. Create a centre part and pull hair into a high ponytail. Braid hair and secure at the end. Pin a black, fabric headband around the base of the braid and pull the braid upwards into a vertical chignon and secure. Finish with hairspray.
